Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) designates areas of the body to different organs where the ki (energy flow) is controlled by different organs which are in a constant flux where they can become either excess or deficient. Using this knowledge, I work on areas to draw energy into or disperse energy from. Upper back has a Lung element, the middle back has Liver and Spleen element, while the lower has a Kidney element to it. Other organs are related to the Yin / Yang principle.

Stand Taller and Feel Better

What to expect

Hello my name is Ross Doherty and the aim of my massage is to create healing through skilled and caring massage. I use  Shiatsu, Acupressure along with needling pressure points, Reflexology, Trigger Point and Soft Tissue techniques to restore movement and life to your body.I will find the tension in your body and work to release it. Finding the core reason for tightness and releasing it will create healing  Nutrition and yoga to enhance healing.

Paying attention to your walk and how you lie on the table will give an indication to where your tension is as I  explore your muscle structure, Left verses Right- Lower -Middle -Upper back and see the difference. How your feet are on the table, your arms lying next to you will give an insight to your shoulders. Etc until I have a clear insight to the working of your body. Then I go to work

First, a great relaxing and therapeutic massage  usings different techniques. Working from head to toe releasing tension freeing muscles and creating movement in the joints of the body. This includes all relevant muscles of the body including the hands, feet, arms and legs as this will increase the energy flow through the body.
